A GHOST ON THE
EARTH FOR A DAY


It was 8 o’clock pm. Jack was preparing for a party with some friends. At 9 o’clock he left home and went at Josh’s house because there was the party. It was a big party with many boys and girls. Jack met Eve, a beautiful girl with long blonde hair and blue eyes. The party was great, the music was cool, the drinks were good the decoration was interesting and everything was ok. Jack and Eve danced all the night, laughed a lot and felt so good together. When the party ended and everybody went home, the boy and the girl went in the park for a walk, even if they were exhausted and a bit drunk. It was a full-moon night. Jack offered to take Eve home because it was dark but she refused and told him that she would be fine. He insisted and finally they went together…
There was no lights on the street; the houses were lost in dark. The only lights were the big round moon and the little stars. Eve and Jack talked very much, and they knew themselves better.
There was almost morning when they arrived at her place. Jack liked Eve very much, he hugged her and he wanted to kiss her…but when he touched her lips…a very strange thing happened: suddenly she disappeared into thin air!!! She was there and in the next second she evaporated like smoke. Jack was shocked. For a fie minutes he stayed unflinching. He was scared and also worried about Eve because he didn’t know what happened with her. He knew he could never tell anyone, because they would never believe him…

He realized that he couldn’t do anything so he went home and sleep all the day. He woke up in the evening and he thought that it was just a dream, a terrible nightmare, but he found on his clothes a few golden hair, Eve’s hair. He remembered all they had talked and done in that night. He ran at the place where Eve had disappeared. He knocked at the door, but nobody opened. He tried the door handle and it was open. It was a two-storeiys house. That house was completely empty. It the second floor, Jack found a box with chalk. He picked a piece of chalk. It was a bright blue chalk. He felt butterflies in his stomach and ants on his back. He threw the piece of chalk and run out. Then, he went at Josh:
-Hi Josh! How are you? I wanted to tell you that your party was great and I really liked it.
-Oh, thanks! But you came hare just for that? You could call me.
-Ammm…Actually I was on the way…and I wanted to ask you about that girl, Eve.
-That blonde who you was with all night? I thought she was with you from the beginning…
-I don’t understand anything…but suddenly Jack felt very tired and he said: O.K. we’ll speak later. I’m very sleepy.
He went home and slept. But in his dream Eve appeared:
-Oh, my beautiful boy, we should be together for ever, like two branch of a tree, we should be one single soul…but I’m a ghost, and you are alive
-My beautiful girl, it’s something that I can do for us to be together?
-You can come with me, in my world, in my magic place, you’ll like it. Come with me, my dear.
-Yes, take me with you, cuz(because) I can’t live without you.
A powerful light, a loud sound and that was all.
In the next day, Max, a friend of Jack visited him and found him dead. He call the police, but it it was no sign of crime or illness.

A STRANGE DREAM


I had a strange dream last night which really scared me. I remember that I saw myself in a beautiful garden with multicoloured flowers and lots of trees. I was so amazed by the birds’ songs and I was running through the flowers thinking that I was in heaven. I was wearing a beautiful white dress like a princess. Everything was so perfect and pure. I was surrounded everywhere by colours and life….until suddenly all the beauty which was around me vanished into the air. A black castle appeared in front of me and all the life changed in death. The trees seemed to be so sad and the earth was black. The lovely blue sky was now covered with black and grey clouds. I begun to feel sad too. I started to look around me, trying to wake me up and thinking that something very bad had happened. I became worried and full of curiosity I entered in the castle. Everything was scaring me. I even had a feeling that something it was wrong.
Inside the castle, everything was full of sadness. I saw a mirror in the right corner of the room and when I looked into it I saw myself dressed in black. When I looked at my hands, they seemed to be covered in blood. I started to cry when suddenly a ghost came and took my hand. I started to scream, but the ghost kept pulling me through all the rooms. I remember that I had to jump in order not to fall in a grave. I was so scared and amazed that I didn’t notice the fact that I was flying and the ghost was still carrying me. After some minutes spent in the air, which seemed to me like hours, we arrived in a wood, near a lake. There, the ghost let me down and in spite of being so scared I had the courage to ask the ghost “why did it take me?”.
The ghost was crying and suddenly became a boy. This seemed to me impossible and full of angry I tried to wake me up. The boy came near me and told me that his name was John and he was the king of that land. I haven’t noticed until then that he was very beautiful. He had some blue eyes which reminded me about the sea. He tried to calm me.
Finally, when I wasn’t angry anymore, he said to me that a very bad witch convicted him to a life as a ghost and in that night he would die. John wanted me to become the new queen of The Fairy Land. I found out later that everything was so sad because of John’s death. After John told me those things, he became a ghost again and thrown himself in the lake. In the next moment everything became full of joy and life. Everything was perfect again. I was seeing myself so happy and surrounded by friendly animals and flowers.
Then I heard a strange sound…someone was screaming. It was my mother who was trying to wake me up. Happy that I was again in my bed I hugged my mum and told her that I loved her. She was looking in wonder at me…..I suppose she had no idea about the strange dream that I have just had….
